How a chart morning actually runs
The flagship sitting is not a lecture with a live chart in the corner. It is a clocked window on one market, with rules about when you may speak and what you may mark.
- Arrival and silence until 07:30 The door on Kent Street opens at 07:10. Coats and phones go on the side table. Phones may stay in the room but screens that show the live candle before it closes stay face down. Video seats join the same rule: the replay cursor does not move ahead of the group.
- 07:30 — leftover range Rhys writes the overnight high and low once on the canvas margin. You may add a sentence about where you expect the cash open. That sentence is dated and then ignored until a cash bar actually trades through the night prints.
- 08:00 — first close The first 15-minute cash bar is marked only after it closes. Each person in turn describes open, high, low, close, and whether the range is large for this market. Pattern names are allowed last, and only if they still feel necessary.
- Through the window Every completed candle is drawn. Session highs and lows stay in pencil until two later closes have had a chance to take them out. If someone talks through an open bar, we stop and wait. The point is the habit, not a scolding.
- 11:00 — debrief The live mark stops even if the chart still looks unfinished. We walk the sheet once and circle only the bars that changed the morning’s story. You take a photographed copy of the canvas and your own sheet. Lunch is yours; we do not narrate it unless you book a longer private window.
What to bring
Pencil, ruler, and five unmarked sessions of the same market and timeframe. If you attend by video, print the blank sheet sent the evening before. Glasses if you need them for a wall-sized sheet. A mug is provided in Cross Inn; video seats provide their own tea.
What to leave closed
Signal lists, chat rooms, and any window that labels candles for you. We are here to read bodies and wicks against the clock, not to compare alerts. If you need those tools at your own desk afterwards, that is your affair. They do not enter the sitting.
Seats
Six in the room at 67 Kent Street Cross Inn CF72 3FR United Kingdom. Four on video. The flagship sitting is detailed on the session-by-session page, including fees and what is excluded.
